After receiving his Presidential Scholarship, Philip graduated, cum laude, from Northeastern Illinois University with a degree in music education. Philip is currently a music teacher and choir director in the Chicago Public School system. His passion is theater, and has had lead acting roles throughout his high school career. He has also appeared in numerous university operatic and theatrical productions, including, Susannah, Cinderella, and La Boheme. His latest acting role was in the recent, well received, amateur production of The Complete Works of Shakespeare-Abridged.
